CRASAC is looking for runners who will be part of a team of forty to take part in the Coventry 5K on 31st October and help us reach our 40th anniversary fundraising target.
A Coventry based charity which provides specialist services to all those who have been affected by rape and sexual violence, 2021 is CRASAC’s 40th year supporting victims and survivors of abuse.
With a fundraising target of £40K CRASAC are keen to hear from all those keen to take part, fundraise, and help us continue our valuable work.
Since 1981 CRASAC’s specialist support services have helped more than 76,000 people with almost 60,000 calls to the helpline.
In the past year alone, almost 3,000 people, including 230 children and young people aged between five and 18, accessed our counselling, advocacy and outreach services.
Alev Taylor, CRASAC’s COO said:
“CRASAC has grown considerably over the years and is the only organisation to offer this kind of support in Coventry.
“Funding we receive not only supports CRASAC’s counselling and specialist helpline services, but also our crisis and advocacy service which provides support to victims navigating the criminal justice system.
“As demand for our services increases securing ongoing funding is a challenge, so we are keen to mark this milestone year and raise £40,000 – a step towards changing the stigma which exists around sexual violence.”
Entry fee to run for CRASAC is £10 which includes a branded runner’s t-shirt.
